I have been anxiously waiting to share this wedding with y’all for a month!!  Yay!  The time has finally arrived that I can share these beautiful images!!

You may remember these two from the Hudson Way Photography blog when I wrote about our time together during their engagement session!!  Christie + Carlton had planned for an October backyard wedding right in the heart of their waterfront neighborhood.  They lived in a house right on the Rappahannock riverbank and planned for an outdoors wedding overlooking their amazing Northern Neck view.  

Their wedding day was so gorgeous!  It was a perfectly crisp fall day and their decorations were full of white pumpkins and magnolia leaves!  Some of my favorite details shots came from their wedding day…The bride wore a sparkly lace dress with Lilly Pulitzer flip flops and bangles which were all so fabulous to photograph.  The couple’s dogs were welcomed as guests throughout their entire wedding day (y’all know that I loved this!!!).  The wind was blowing that day but it had a way of moving the bride’s veil in ways that looked so beautiful on camera… With all of this being said, my favorite part of the day was the look on her face as she cried tears of joy walking down the aisle.

Moments like that make my heart so happy.  It is an amazing thing to be able to capture such cherished memories for my couples.  I am documenting the start of their forever and it brings me so much joy to be a part of a day so intimate and special… 

Please join me in congratulating Mr and Mrs Douglas!  They were such a sweet couple to work with and I am beyond proud to have them as part of the AHP wedding family.  Cheers to a lifetime of happiness for the newlyweds!
