I have been so eager to post this session on the blog!! Oh my goodness, y’all have no idea! Weekend before last, I had 3 sessions in one day scheduled stretching from Westmoreland to Lancaster to Northumberland counties. My first session of the day was with Toni + David for a sunrise session on the beach. Well, let me just say that the early morning wake up call was totally worth it!! The lighting that morning was seriously amazing!! The session started with a slight fog covering the river that blurred the horizon into a faint blue color that extended from the sand beneath our feet to the sky. As the sun rose, the lighting changed from a heavy glow to a blanket of golden warmth. The lighting was constantly changing in our hour together but it was seriously gorgeous and added so much extra variety to their images.
I have known David for years after initially meeting through mutual friends but this was my first time meeting Toni. These two were seriously fantastic to work with. I began to pose them in the beginning of the session and just a few minutes into the session they acted like pros with their posing!! There were so many times that I would be ready to pose them and say “Hey Toni, I want you to… oh never mind, you just did it all on your own!!!” On top of that, they had the best smiles as they looked at each other. This was definitely a couple’s session that I adored because the love and compassion that they have for each other was so obvious throughout our time together.
As if the great lighting and natural posing wasn’t good enough, these two have the best personalities!!! David is such a genuinely kind person and Toni, well, lets just say that she’s the type of person that I would love to go grab coffee and shop around Target all day with!! Seriously, I felt such a connection with this sweet couple.
Midway into the session we invited their dogs to join!! Again, y’all know I am such a sucker for dogs and I love incorporating them into sessions! We played on the beach for a little while with their pups before putting them into their fabulous Christmas sweaters for the final shots!! Who doesn’t love a dog in a Christmas sweater?!
I was so happy that Toni and David booked their couple’s session with me and I seriously could not have been happier with their images!! Picking my favorites for this blog post was difficult because I love so many of their images, but take a look below at my favorites!!
This was super fun thanks Abby! Your energy, talent and passion for photography is amazing, thanks again! Can’t wait until next time!
