I'd love to get to know you better!  Feel free to drop me a note anytime!

Hello friends!
Welcome back and thank you for following my new blog series!!  Encase you missed the introduction of how this blog series came to life, take a moment to check out my previous Faith + Full Time Focus post to catch up!  This week I wanted to share a BIG announcement with you all!  Something amazing is happening that is allowing me to take another step closer to my dream of one day taking my business as a photographer to full time.

I have been very fortunate this year with the growth I have witnessed in myself and my business.  As you read in the last post, I have put a lot of effort into building my relationship with God and praying that I would find the path that He meant for me to follow.  I put my faith and trust in Him to show me the way.  I opened my heart to Him and listened.

Now, before I reveal my big announcement- I feel the need to give you a little glimpse into my professional life.  I, like so many other creatives, have a full time day job.  That means that I work until 5, get home by 6, and immediately begin working on my photography business until the late night hours.  I am beyond grateful for the growth I have experienced in my business, but let be honest friends, it is exhausting to keep the candle burning on both ends for too long.

So, the big announcement- Here it is!!

After careful consideration and LOTs of support from my amazing husband – I have officially decided to leave my full time job and will begin a part time job in September!  This means that I will have extra time to invest into my business and continue to nurture its growth!!

I struggled with writing this post.  I struggled with having the courage to post it once it was finished.  I thought to myself “It’s only a part time job.  It’s not like you are going full time with your business.  Who is going to care?”

But then I realized something special.

This is something to be excited about and This is absolutely something to celebrate!

We should never discredit ourselves and the work we have done just because someone else might be in a different season of life.   {Reminder: Comparison is the thief of joy and we all started somewhere}

 The decision to go part time at my day job is a big change for me but it’s a step in the right direction towards one day going full time in my business.  I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t a little bit terrified… but aren’t all important decisions and leaps of faith a little bit scary?  A year ago, I wouldn’t have been so fortunate to be able to go part time.  I am so thankful that my business has been growing and even more grateful for the amount of love and encouragement that I have received from all those that believe in me and my dreams.

Another big announcement will be revealed in next week’s Faith + Full Time Focus post!!
Can we handle two big announcements in two weeks?!  I think so and this one is JUST as exciting.  Be sure to check back in next Friday to catch the fabulous news!
