Yay for the first family to be featured on the blog in 2016!!  These guys are so special to me!  Caleb and Megan have been friends of ours for years.  They are that couple that we regularly talk to, hang out with, and have dinner with on the weekends… We all have that one couple that we regularly make plans with, right?!  Brad + Caleb grew up together and Megan + I became closer each and every time that we were together.  I photographed their engagement session when they were newly engaged and Brad + I were even in their wedding as maid of honor + best man!

Well, Megan and Caleb welcomed their first child, a sweet little boy named Caiden, in August.  Its seriously so amazing to see you closest friends become “Mom + Dad”!  Its even more exciting for me to be able to photograph them, at their first home together, with their first child, for their first Christmas as a family of three!  

Caiden had a different idea that day though and he was not exactly interested in having his picture taken!  I am always patient in these situations because no one can predict how their baby will feel the day of a session.  If you read the blog often, you know that I am a vivid advocate for documenting seasons of life for families.  For Megan and Caleb, this means that each day can be unpredictable with their a 5 month old child, but each day is full of more love and joy than they could have ever imaged.

I am so happy for this family.  I can’t wait to watch them grow together in the years to come.  We never know what the future holds, but I am excited to move forward with friends ike them in our life!!  My favorited from our time together are below!!
