Wow on a Wednesday!!  Thats all that I can say!!!! Ah!!  I am so excited to share this engagement session at Belle Isle State Park with y’all!!  Ok so earlier this month, Lauren and her fiance Johnny reached out to me about booking an engagement session!!  They had already booked their wedding photographer and planned to work with her later in the year, but they were interested in working with me during an engagement session for their save the dates!!  

We planned their session for the second weekend in January.  The night before, I checked the weather and it was on track to be a dreary, rainy day with 30 mph winds.  I made the decision to postpone their session based on the forecast.  I am typically right when I make the call to postpone due to weather- however- I woke up the next day to sunny skies and 60 degree weather!!  The wind was blowing, but the air was so warm that we would be crazy not to take advantage of the beautiful day!!  I messaged Lauren hoping for a chance to move forward with their session and luckily they were totally up for the last minute change and were excited to have such beautiful weather!!

I met the couple that afternoon at Belle Isle and, boy, am I so glad because this is seriously one of my new favorite sessions!!! We spent the first few minutes chatting and allowing the couple to warm up + get comfortable in front of the camera.  We then began to wander around the property as they shared their love story with me!! (And about how Johnny popped the questions at a gorgeous winery and recorded the entire thing!!)

Belle Isle is such a gorgeous piece of Northern Neck heaven!!  So many amazing acres of land… We took full advantage of every little nook and cranny full of beauty at Belle Isle!!!  Pair a gorgeous location and a gorgeous couple together and you bet I could have shot with Lauren + Johnny all day!!!!  (Oh!  And did I mention that their outfit choices were perfect?!?!?!)

It would be easy to go on for paragraphs about the amazing lighting, the beautiful couple, and how much I love this gallery- but I think I should let the images speak for themselves!!!!  So many favorites are below!!!
