When Kelli reached out to me about an anniversary session for her and Matt’s one year anniversary, I was so excited!  I love working with couples in all stages of their relationship and anniversaries are just as important to document as engagements and weddings.  After the hustle of wedding plans and real life sets in again, celebrating the years you’ve spent building a life together is such a reason to document the love that has grown over time!

Kelli actually found me through Instagram after they moved to Virginia.  We live abut 3 hours away from each other, so we decided to meet half way for their session which was Fredericksburg!

Photographing sessions in downtown Fredericksburg have such a special place in my heart.  Not because I have any sort of connection to the city in the past, but simply because I love being there and the charm of the city if overwhelming!  Not only was the location great, but I just adored the bright pop of color that Kelli brought to the session with her bright red skirt!

We spent the afternoon driving around town together making many stops along the way to take advantage of all of the beauty that the area has to offer.  We ended the session with the BEST sunset lighting overlooking the cityscape and those are literally my favorites from their session and some of my favorites from a couples session ever!  Take a look below!!
