I just love sessions with friends!!  We’ve known The Dove Family for years and I was so excited when Jami reached out to me about a family session with their little boy!

This was my first time meeting their son and he was just the biggest ham in front of the camera!!    Normally sessions with young children can be unpredictable.  All children react differently when they are in front of the camera- some get shy, some come out of their shell, some get really really excited, and some get a huge burst of energy that makes it impossible to get an image of their faces! 

However, Mason was so focused during the session!!  Jami and Greg had been helping him practice his smile for the camera leading up to their session date.  As soon as we started the session Mason just sat there, looked straight at the camera, and smiled!! I was so surprised because he is such a young little boy!  Just wait until you see this kids smile!  I could squeeze his sweet little cheeks all day and those blue eyes are gorgeous!!

We spent our time together taking a few family photos.  Whenever Mason needed a break, I would take pictures of Jami and Greg together and then Mason would pop in and out periodically when he was ready to be in front of the camera again.  We headed to the beach for photos soon after that.  Jami and I chatted and watched as Greg and Mason walked down the beach hand in hand.  It was almost as if you could see Jamie’s heart melting right there in front of me and she said “You just wait!!” as we laughed about me experiencing those moments in life once our baby girl arrives.  

I just loved working with these guys and was so happy that I was able to capture these sweet images for them to look back on for years to come.  My favorites from their session are below!!
