You totally probably recognize this sweet family!! They’ve been on the blog twice in the last year and this time makes three times!! I’ve introduced you to them quite a few times. Each time speaking of my love for this family and how much fun I have with them at every session!!
This session in particular was probably the most fun!! Rachel reached out to me about a special surprise session that she had been dreaming of. Her husband, Ben, works on a fish boat in Reedville and is occasionally gone for days at a time when they have to leave to catch fish. Rachel wanted to have a session of her and their three boys playing and laughing and letting their personalities shine so that Ben could have the images when he was away from his family and missing them. Talk about the sweetest reason to have a photoshoot, right?!?!
The entire thing was a surprise and the family planned to share the images with him as his fathers day gift!! They ended up sharing the news with him when his scheduled changed slightly and he was in town the day of their session!! Surprise or not- this was still one sweet session!!
The session was not at all a session of “sit, look at me, and smile”. Instead- it was a session full of sitting on a blanket in yard reading books together. A session full of duck calls and toys and building blocks and bubble machines. A session full of basket ball games, wagon rides, and mohawk bicycle helmet rides. A session full of snuggles and laughs and whole hearted genuine family love.
I just adore this family so much and I have loved watching them grown throughout these sessions. In twenty years, I hope that Rachel and Ben have a home full of so many amazing images telling the story of their lives together and the growth and strength that their family has experienced.
My favorites from their session are below!!
