I'd love to get to know you better!  Feel free to drop me a note anytime!

Y’all know I love a good referral from happy clients- especially when its to extra joyful couples looking for a photographer!!!  Kelsey and John were referred to me for their engagement session and I am so happy they were because these two were so much fun to work with!!

This happy couple will be married in January of 2017.  To go along with their winter wedding theme, they wanted to have a few images taken at the skating rink in Williamsburg!  This was my first time visiting historic Williamsburg and I was overwhelmed with excitement to be shooting at such a gorgeous location!!

We started by taking a look at the skating rink, which unfortunately was much smaller than we had imagined + filled with lots of people that afternoon!  So, we decided to walk around and take advantage of the gorgeous scenery.  The lighting was perfect right from the beginning!  Pair that with such a joyful couple + you better believe that I was in photographer’s paradise!!  Even when I was adjusting settings and testing lighting with my camera in between shots, these two were holding hands + laughing together.

We walked for quite some time, peeking into various little treasure spots all over the area and capturing images around every turn.  As the sky began to darken, we made our way back to the skating rink.  It was still just as full as before + the groom-to-be realized how little he actually enjoyed skating, so we grabbed a few shots + moved on!  We finished up their session just as the light was lost and the trees began to glow with decorative lighting.

I spent the afternoon talking with these two as we worked on capturing gorgeous images of them to celebrate their engagement.  I knew that they were easy to photograph + I was enjoying every moment of it!  What I enjoyed even more than photographing them, was looking back through the images of Kelsey + John.  The way she looks at him is magical… The trust, the love, the excitement in her eyes as their arms are wrapped around each other.  Its such a genuine moment and the honesty of these images being true to who they are together is beautiful.  Congratulations on your engagement, Kelsey + John!!
