I'd love to get to know you better!  Feel free to drop me a note anytime!

This is such a bitter sweet blog for me to write and it was such a bitter sweet day for me because Hannah and Tristan’s beautiful Hull Spring’s farm wedding was my very last wedding of 2016!  At 7 months regnant, I didn’t feel comfortable booking any weddings closer to my due date but this wedding was certainly a great one to finish the season with because it was so gorgeous!

I first met Hannah one year ago when we met for drinks at a local restaurant to talk about wedding photography.  She was still on the hunt for a photographer for their August wedding and I was so excited when they reached back out to me and were ready to official book!

At the time, she was still in school finishing out her senior year and her fiancé was away in the army but we then met again in January for the most perfect engagement session while they were both home.  When August finally arrived, I could not have been more excited to see Hannah and Tristan again!  Their wedding was the be held at Hull Springs Farm in Montross Virginia with plans of a waterfront ceremony and a backyard reception.

Hair and make up was in full swing when I arrived and I began working on some gorgeous detail shots.  After everyone was dressed and ready, Hannah and Tristan shared a first look under the trees near the creek.  That is always in of my favorite moments because I know that in the midst of such a busy day, theres nothing like being able to slow down and love on each other alone for a little while.  After a few minutes of the two of them talking together, smiling together, and holding on to one another we swept away for portraits of them together followed by bridal party portraits.

Well, let me just say thank goodness for that first look and getting portraits finished before the ceremony because just about 15 minutes before the ceremony was to begin, a massive storm came through!!  It was pouring down rain, the wind was blowing, and it was quite a mess outside!!  We waited out the storm for a while before the decision was made to move the ceremony under the tent where the reception would be held.

Rain or shine, their ceremony was perfect and the two were now happily pronounced as husband and wife!  The rest of the evening was such a joyful celebration of these two and the dance floor was full all night!!

There were so many heartfelt moments that day!!  Hannah’s father had passed away so she wore his congressman pin as her “something blue” and Tristan wore her fathers nautical cuff links.  The speeches that night were tear filled and full of so much love!  The night ended with a sparkler exit and a bonfire with friends.  It was just a perfect day!!

Tristan is stationed in Hawaii, so Hannah moved out there with him to start their life together as husband and wife soon after the wedding.  What a beautiful start to the rest of their lives!!  I am beyond happy for these two and was so honored to capture their wedding day.

Hannah and Tristan- I wish y’all so much happiness and more love than you two can even imagine!!  Thank you for choosing me to be a part of such aspecial day in your lives.  Congratulations on Forever!
