Im long overdue on posting this blog but its such a good one friends!!
Ann Kramer and Corey were one of my amazing 2016 wedding couples and their day was nothing short of amazing in every way!! I had enjoyed my time with them SO much during their engagement session and Ann Kramer was so sweet every time that we spoke before the wedding. She was always the first to reach out to me with excitement over the experience she was having with me and that just got me even more excited to continue working with her!!
Ann Kramer and Corey planned a wedding ceremony at St Johns in Tappahannock, Virginia with a reception to follow at St Margarets School right on the beautiful Rappahannnock River! It was the middle of June and the heat index that day sure was maximized!! Despite the heat, it still was a gorgeous day!!
I started working with the girls in the church early in the day, photographing the details and their matching monogrammed shirts. We laughed together and chatted as they prepared for the events ahead.
All of those closest to the bride were there that day, with the exception of one of Ann Kramer’s closest friends that had passed away, Mary Burke. Although she was not there in person, she was there in spirit as her family had gifted Ann Kramer with beautiful gifts to remember her. There was a photograph, there was an angle pendant that was pinned into Ann Kramer’s pocket, and a glass pendant to hang from her bouquet with Mary Burke’s signature on one side and a photo of her grandparents on the other. It was all so meaningful to Ann Kramer and I know that she cherished those tokens to incorporate her dear friend into such a major day in her life.
Soon enough, it was time for the ceremony in which Corey and Ann Kramer vowed forever in front of a packed church and after that we jumped right into family formals inside the church. Once we finished with that, we headed to St Margarets to take the remainder of the bridal party and bride + groom photos!
I absolutely adore portrait time with the bride and groom most on the wedding day and these two powered through their portraits like rockstars despite the heat and humidity!! After that the party began! Announcements were made, first dances were danced, and the rest of the evening was everything you’d imagine for a fabulous wedding with an upbeat band! There were so many special moments- from the handing down of family traditions, to drinking the whisky that had been buried before the wedding, to the bride and her father playing the spoons together into a microphone- it was all such a joyful celebration!!
I just loved working with Ann Kramer and Corey. They were both so relaxed through the entire day and after becoming familiar with their love story during their engagement session, I just knew it was going to be a long awaited but oh so joyful and beautiful day of such honest love and commitment.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Stinchcomb!! Thank you SO much for trusting me with your wedding day and for being such a sweet, joyful couple to work with!
–Now that the wedding photos have been shared- Ann Kramer’s pre-wedding bridal portrait session will be on the blog soon!!–
