I'd love to get to know you better!  Feel free to drop me a note anytime!

It’s Friday and you know that means another Friday Top Five! Just a friend (me) sharing some things that I’m loving this week with another friend (you)! Hope you enjoy!

. . . . . . . . . .

This perfume. I haven’t actually bought a bottle of perfume for myself except once in my life and that was three years ago, so adding this to the list says A LOT! This scent crossed my path as a little sample stuck in the middle of an Ulta magazine and I immediately loved it. It’s honestly my favorite scent ever right now. It’s light, floral, fruity, and a little sweet but just the right amount of each to make it a really feminine and soft scent!

This book. I had been eyeing this book for a while, but wouldn’t make the purchase simply because of the title and this unspoken fear of not wanting to label myself as such. But! The heart and reliability in this book has been outstanding. I also love that each chapter ends with a prayer related to the topic of the chapter. I’m about 6 chapters in and it’s been such gift to read and dive into as a mother.

These glasses. I found these while searching for blue light glasses and liked them so much that I ordered them with my actual eye prescription in the lens. They fit my face well and I love the shape- it’s like an understated cat eye! The frames are also on the thin side, so the largeness of the lenses them don’t overpower my face!

This candle. I found it at Marshalls, but didn’t buy it the first time out of “being responsible and saving money”. After not being able to let it go, I purchased a small one and then had Brad pick up a large one because I just wanted it burning all the time. Its a mild scent that doesn’t overpower the house, but it’s a cozy one that feels homey! (I couldn’t find a purchase link for you, but take a peek next time you’re in a Marshall’s/ TJ Max, etc!)

This recipe! It’s five ingredients thrown into the crock pot and bam- dinner is basically ready! It’s my go to for work days when I know I’ll be rolling non stop from start to finish and I just need a yummy dinner that will be easy to have on the table at 6! The recipe is pretty simple, but we have made a few adjustments along the way! I cut the chicken up some prior to placing it in the crock pot. I also cook it for 5 hours before placing the dumplings in and then cook it for an extra 60-90 minutes for the dough to be the consistency that we prefer. I also only add 1/4 or 1/2 cup of water because we enjoy a creamier consistency rather than a thin gravy like consistency. Serve it with a salad or veggie on the side and dinner is done!

. . . . . . . . . .

See you back next week friends! And as always, feel free to reach out anytime with questions or comments about the items listed in this post!
