I'd love to get to know you better!  Feel free to drop me a note anytime!

Happy Monday friends!!  Oh boy, do I have a good blog for you today!!  I am going to keep it short and sweet, mostly because these pictures are going to show you everything you need to know!!

Katlyn and I graduated together and Bryce was a year ahead of us in school!  These two are now happily married + expecting their first baby any day now!!  We chose a location for these portraits that would offer a great variety for beach shots are well as grassy areas.  The weather that day was seriously so perfect + the lighting was quite amazing as well!!  Oh, and the outfits…. well, these guys pretty much nailed it!!  Just wait until you see Katlyn in her blue dress!!

The beach shots started a little tricky for me, as the sun was higher in the sky than expected and there was no source of available shade.  Ideally for my editing and shooting style, I always shoot with the sun behind my subjects.  After taking many different test shots in which the lighting was just not quite working with the sun behind Katlyn, I made the decision to work at a new angle… One that I never shoot!!!  I shot with the sun facing directly onto her!!  It was risky as that was something I never do, but the lovely fact is that those are some of my favorite images!!!!  I never thought that shooting at this angle could bring me so much joy but these images of Katlyn and Bryce on the beach obviously proved me wrong and these two rocked every image!!

Katlyn was such a trooper in trusting me through the entire shoot.  Anything that I wanted to try + any new angles that I wanted to shoot, she was totally supportive and excited about it!  Even if that meant laying on the beach + being covered in sand towards the end of the session, she did it with a smile + an adventurous attitude!!

Bryce was such a sweetheart towards her during the session too!!  At one point when I had him step to the side as I worked on portraits of Katlyn alone, he laughed and said that “She was the pretty one” as he stared in her direction.  They shared such a sweet smile in that moment and I just knew that their little girl was going to be brought up in a home full of so much genuine love.

I am so honored to have captured this season in their lives + can not wait to watch as their family grows!!  Their baby girl will be here so soon and, along with plenty of bows, I am positive that she’s got a mommy + daddy that are already so in love with her!!

Important Information about Abby Hudson Photography . . .

It has been an amazing 11 years working with so many sweet seniors, families, and brides.  This business has grown beyond my wildest dreams and I am so grateful for the support I've received.  With that being said, Abby Hudson Photography has closed as I venture into a new season of life.

The blog is still active to view past work and keep the memories of this great season alive.  I will not, however, be accepting new clients at this time.

I'm so grateful for your understanding and support!  Hugs to you all!
