A Belle Grove Plantation Wedding – King George, Virginia

So very excited to share Mandy and Andrew’s Belle Grove Plantation wedding with you today!!! Mandy and Andrew had been on my calendar for a year and a half, so the anticipation for their wedding day was over the top!
When I arrived that day, the sun was shining reflecting brightly off the river front views from the upstairs balcany of the plantation house where I found all of Mandy’s bridal details. I got straight to work after a big hug to Mandy as she and her bridesmaids began bustling around with final hair and make up touches.
Mandy and Andrew incorporated a mix of baseball and nautical elements into their wedding theme to full represent both of their personalities and make the day feel completely unique to them as a couple! I loved that this was so evident even early in the day during detail shots!
I later headed to meet with Andrew and his groomsmen as they got ready for the day ahead and prepped Andrew for their first look which would soon take place. We got Mandy into her dress and it was finally time for Andrew to see her as his BRIDE!
We jumped right into portraits after their first look and it was so much fun roaming the grounds of Belle Grove with these two! Andrew is always full of jokes and fun. Mandy is always there with the utmost care and compassion in her eyes when she looks into Andrew’s. Its something so sweet about the two of them together, such a perfect balance and beautiful to witness!
Before I knew it, we were lining up for the ceremony and I knew that this was the moment they had been planning for with their families for so long!! The ceremony was with one of my favorite friends and offiants ever, so I knew it was going to be a good one!
Andrew came out all smiles and took his place to meet with Mandy. Her father walked her out of the plantation house and down the brick aisle. As she approached Andrew, I heard him say “Wow, she’s beautiful. And she’s marrying me. I should buy a lottery ticket.” CUE THE TEARS because how stinking sweet is that?!?! Ah! Their first kiss as husband and wife was followed by a bubble exit down the aisle and I LOVED it so much!
The rest of the day was the best celebration with so many of their closest family and friends congratulating them and tapping their glasses to cheer on another kiss for the bride and groom. It was such a beautiful day and such a special celebration that I had been looking forward to for a long time!!
Mandy and Andrew- you guys are fantastic and I can’t thank you enough for welcoming me into the season of your engagement and your wedding day! Your wedding was perfect in every way and I hope you love looking back on it for years to come!! Hugs to you both and congratulations again!!
