When you plan a fall wedding, you don’t usually expect 95 degree temperatures and southern humidity.  Hot or not, everything about Megan and Wade’s Woodland Manor wedding screamed Fall.  From the yellow tinge that graced the trees just starting to change with the season to the sunset orange bridesmaids dresses and warm fall color woven through thebouquets.  This was a whimsical, fall dream come true.

I remembered how sweet and loving Wade and Megan were from their engagement session.  They shined brightest when in each others arms and smiled so genuinely when they made eye contact.  I knew walking into their wedding day that with a love like that, it was going to bean amazing day.

I arrived that day with the biggest hug from Megan.  She was smiling from ear to ear.  Hair was finished, make up would soon be complete and her bridesmaids were all there by her side keeping the atmosphere light and joyful.

After finishing bridal details, I went over to work with Wade and his groomsmen.  There was laughter ringing through the door before I ever entered!

Soon after I headed back to Megan.  She and her mother went upstairs to get her into her dress.  I know the main reason that they were alone together was because she wanted to surprise her bridesmaids and capture their reaction when they saw the full look, but there was something about this moment with just her and her mom that was so sweet.  Stepping into her bridal gown.  Her mom buttoning her baby girl up into that dress that she’d soon become a wife in.  The smiles that came from them both during those moments.  It was just the most intimate and so special!

We headed downstairs where Megan’s best friends stood together eyes closed and filled with anticipation.  The tears began when they all saw how gorgeous Megan looked!!  There were laughs and hugs and more tears and it was the best addition to an already sweet day.

Megan and Wade soon shared a first look together under the tall trees that had stood for centuries, gracing the venue with cool shade.  They smiled and laughed and let their hugs linger to be savored.  Bride and groom portraits took place all over the venue, taking advantage of all that Woodland Manor had to offer.

I was quickly reminded of how perfectly content these two are together.  Looking in each others eyes, wrapped in each others arms.  The smiles come easy.  There is something so genuine about their space together.  It’s just the best to photograph!

My favorite moment to look back on with this day was when Megan was walking down the aisle. I know that sounds generic, but it was honestly such a tender moment!  Wade’s face was strong and steady before she turned the corner.  Then she met his gaze and the closer she walked towards him, the softer his eyes became making way into a smile and it was as if no one else was there in that moment but them.

The adoration that filled that moment was every bit of confirmation that these two were meant to be in this moment.  As high school sweethearts, this was the moment their lives were always building up to and it was the moment they were about to vow forever to each other.

The rest of the night was filled with the sweetest celebration.  You could tell how important family and friends are to Megan and Wade.  There were so many times that night that I found myself saying “You just have the best friends!” or “Your family is so sweet!!” And I meant every words because it was so much fun watching everyone come together to wish these two the best and celebrate them well!!

This was honestly such a beautiful day and all of my favorite images from their wedding are below!!

Megan and Wade- I am so grateful for you two.  You are so kind and so loving.  I am beyond honored to have been the one to capture your wedding day and I honestly look back on your wedding and see nothing but a really special couple taking a step into a plan that God has been weaving specifically for you for so long. It meant so much to me to be there along side you to celebrate your marriage and I cant wait to see what the future holds for you two!  Congratulations again!!!

Thank you to the amazing vendor team that took part in making this such a special day!
