I'd love to get to know you better!  Feel free to drop me a note anytime!

Meghan and Logan are married and it was the most perfect wedding at House Mountain Inn!!  Brad and I traveled out to Lexington, Virginia that weekend to celebrate along side these two and photograph their special day- a day of which I had been looking forward to all year.

I’ve always said that my favorite part of my job is having clients come into my life that turn into friends.  Thats been the case with Meghan and Logan since the very beginning.  From the moment that we began talking, I could feel how kind she was.  The first time that I met them in person for their engagement session, I was greeted with huge smiles and even bigger hugs.

After building a relationship through social media and emails over the next few months, I arrived at House Mountain Inn with so much happiness in my heart that I could barely contain my excitement.  It was like two old friends were about to be married and I was going to be there front and center to capture it!

House Mountain Inn is a gorgeous venue tucked away on top of a mountain.  With wood details around every corner and two grand porches on the front of the house that over look the extravagant landscaping paired with a gorgeous view of the mountains framed within the tallest pine trees.  It was the perfect location for Meghan and Logan!

I walked inside to begin shooting bridal details where I found Meghan relaxing with her bridesmaids all in matching shirts and shorts while being pampered with hair and make up!  After shooting her details consisting of Tom wedges as her “something blue”, diamond jewelry accents, cranberry bridesmaids dresses, matching invitations, and her beautiful veil- we headed to our next location to see the groom!!

When we arrived, I was half expecting that we would be waiting for a few minutes while the groomsmen finished getting dressed.  Much to my surprise, Logan came bouncing out of the front door onto the porch to greet us.  He was dressed to perfection from head to toe with a smile gleaming from ear to ear!  His fully dressed and ready to go groomsmen followed behind and Logan began telling me how persistent he had been for everyone to be ready for portraits before I arrived!

We walked outside to begin portraits with the guys and being from my small town on the Rappahannock River and the Chesapeake Bay, I was a little on edge to see the “Bear Crossing” sign hanging plainly on the side of the house!  Of course we’ve had a bear or two around town locally, but not often enough to have a bear crossing sign warning guests!!  (That sounds completely dramatic now considering that we made it through portraits minus any bears!)

After we finished these portraits with Logan and his groomsmen, we headed back to House Mountain Inn to begin working with Meghan and her bridesmaids!  Meghan began having her hair and make up done after her bridesmaids were finished in which time these girls began buzzing around cleaning the room and preparing it for Meghan and Logan’s arrival after their wedding had come to an end that night.

Soon after we got Meghan into her dress, I walked downstairs to photograph the ballroom.  It was a  large and extravagant room with wood details on every wall where chandeliers hung high and one wall consented of all windows to showcase the beautiful mountain view!

I then headed down the stairs outside to set up for the ceremony.  Before I knew it, it was time for these two sweet friends to become husband and wife and Logan walked down the aisle to the spot where he would soon vow forever to Meghan.  I have never seen such a look of pride on his face as the moment that Meghan began walking down the aisle towards him!!  The only thing that may have topped that was the look on both of their faces as they turned towards their guests and then looked at each other full of excitement as they were introduced as husband and wife!

These two later walked into their reception with a bang of dance moves and cheer!  Dinner was followed by toasts which then meant that the dance floor was open for business!  The dance space was held outside in an open pavilion area with wood floors, tall pillars, and wood accents along the ceiling.

Their guests packed the dance floor from the moment that the music began!  A few popular throw backs played like the Backstreet boys and the Spice Girls which sounds like a unique playlist for a wedding but boy were they hits through the dance floor because everyone was dancing and jumping with their hands in the air!  The couple was later showered in cheers as they ran through a tunnel of sparklers to end of the night!

Meghan and Logan- It was such a beautiful day for such a sweet pair.  I was honored to be there with yall and I am so, so thankful that friends as kind as your two have been brought into my life!  It was something really special to be there celebrating along side you two.  I hope that you love these images and always remember the happiness that you shared together on this day!!
