Oh hi!

Ready for the photos of your dreams?

I'd love to get to know you better!  Feel free to drop me a note anytime!

Yall, I have a story to share that is too good not to share so here it goes 🙂  It has nothing to do with my business, but it has to do with my husband and my family and therefore I say its worth sharing for todays blog!

One afternoon last week, I texted Brad saying “How about ham biscuits for dinner?”

Everyone loves a good ham biscuits right?!  haha… Yes, we’re southern yall.

He texted back later saying “actually baby, lets go out to dinner.  I already called mom and she’s coming over at 530 to watch Henley for us.”

Well… I could have cried!!  I had been craving a date night, but knew we were both so busy.  I also was so smitten that he had already planned a date night and all I had to do was pick where we would eat.  Seriously, what did I do to deserve him as my husband??

We got in the car that evening to go to dinner.  Date night for the win!!

Well, we weren’t even half way to the restaurant yet when he hands me a card.  I open it up, and the tears began!

I’m paraphrasing of course, but his card read how much he appreciated everything that I do for our family and how normally he would wait until my actual birthday to give me my gift, but he couldn’t wait this year.  He said that he knew I hoped to one day have a session with Amanda Hedgepeth, so he had reached out to her months ago to book her for a session while we would be in North Carolina this year!!!

Yall….. Cue the tears!!  And I am talking ALL THE TEARS!!!  Squinty eyes, shoulders shaking, cant speak kinda tears!!

I had reached out to Amanda last year about an anniversary session.  Shortly after, we found out that we were expecting Henley, so we decided we had a really good reason to save those funds instead of booking a session.

I love following Amanda and have been for years!!  I love seeing her girls and following her journey both as a business woman and a momma!  Her heart is so genuine and her “mermaid mafia” makes me smile every time they pop up in my feed!

I made a joke a few nights ago that if I came across extra money by the time we were at the beach I would beg Amanda to fit us in… I said it jokingly because I knew that I wouldn’t have the extra money in time haha.  Little did I know that we were already on her calendar!!!

I literally am so excited yall… We will have our first official family photos taken on the beach with someone who I’ve never met in person, but also someone I know will take such great care of us, make up smile, make up comfortable, and just “get us”!!

My heart is so grateful that God allows me to call Brad my husband.  I don’t know what I did to deserve him and Henley, but gracious knows I can never thank the good Lord above enough.

I just had to share this story and my excitement with yall!!  Im still kind of in shock..or maybe in awe?!  I dont know but I do know that I need to stop typing now before I start crying again.

Have a happy weekend yall!!!  Its going to be a rainy one this weekend so I’ll be working on house things and editing away- but theres also a free movie weekend on DirecTv soooo I’ll probably snuggle up with my favorite people and pups to catch a few movies 🙂  What fun plans do yall have?!?!

Hugs to you, friend!
