I’m so excited to FINALLY be sharing this session with yall!!!! Wedding season kicked in and suddenly session blogs got a little off schedule!!
After shooting a senior session at Belle Isle State Park for one of my 2017 senior clients, I was slightly obsessed with those images in the wildflowers and clover. I just couldnt get enough of looking at her gallery and knew that I had to shoot there again to manage that creative itch that was brewing inside of me!
Part of me just doesn’t even feel like I should be typing out this blog because thats only delaying you from seeing Sarah’s completely amazingly gorgeous gallery BUT I really do want to tell you a bit about her!! 🙂 Sarah has been so excited about her session since the moment that we connected and that got me even more excited!! When her session day finally arrived, we lucked out with the most perfect sun shining weather!! We started shooting in the trees where the light was beaming through. I loved that during these shots she took a few with her mom and little sister too!!
Yesterday, I shared images of the lovely ladies that make up the 2018 Abby Hudson Senior Spokesmodel team. Those images were captured during the Spokesmodel Meet and Greet on April 2nd, and it was such an awesome day that I wanted to acknowledge the amazing vendors that helped make it so special!!
I am so excited for yall to meet the first ever Abby Hudson Senior Spokesmodel team for the class of 2018!!! I’ve been looking forward to this blog since applications opened back in February!!
I hadn’t really planned to do a spokesmodel program, but the more I photographed senior portraits the more I fell in love with that aspect of my business. I decided in late January to launch the very first spokesmodel program and in all honesty, I wasnt even sure if anyone would apply! Well, applications started rolling in BEFORE they were even live (thanks to early bird access through my newsletter) and they continued to roll in for the next three weeks!!
Carrie’s senior session was one of those sessions that I have been anxiously waiting to share because some of my favorite senior images came from this shoot (which I seem to be saying a lot lately but that still makes it VERY true!!!) !!
Carrie is a senior at Washington and Lee High School. She’s a member of the soccer team, loves to read and work on website design, and also runs on the cross country team.
I’ve been out of my mind excited to share this post for weeks yall!!! If you follow me on social media, then you know that I decided to create my very first spokesmodel team for the 2017-2018 school year!! Cue the confetti!
This is something brand new to me, but I have grown to love senior photography so much that it was a no brainer to add a spokesmodel team to my business plan!
Applications were open for 15 days and out of that process I now have a team of 10 really amazing spokesmodels representing various local high schools!!
I am literally SO excited to be sharing Tiffanys senior session with you today!!!!
This was my first session in after coming back from maternity leave. I had not shot a session for about three months and I was a little nervous that I had lost my touch, but this gallery assures me that I had not because I was in love with every image!!!
Emily’s senior session was my final senior session of 2016 before baby Henley arrived!! I was 8 months pregnant, but even with that, it was a certainly fun afternoon!
Emily has such a joyful smile that lit up in front of the camera and she also has amazing hair!!! She was a true natural in front of the camera and was so at ease from the very first images until the very end! Her smile was effortless, but she also was able to turn on that model face at the drop of a hat!!!
This session was So special for me to shoot yall! I have known Austin for years!!! His sister and I have been friends since 8th grade. His family is just so sweet and full of so much faith! When Austin’s mom contacted me about his senior photos, I couldn’t believe that he was already a senior but was also so excited to capture these images of him!
I am so excited to share Shyanna’s senior session with yall today!! As I was looking back through these images to prepare today’s post, I had almost forgotten just how much I love these images and how much I LOVE sunrise sessions!!! Not only did some of my favorite images come with this session, but this girl was such a trooper! We were up at dark to meet for her sunrise session on the river and yet you never would have known by Shyanna’s smile and happy personality!
After a few weeks worth of a break from blogging with the arrival of our new baby girl, it only seems fitting that I step back into the blogging with one of my favorite senior sessions to date!
Madi is a senior at Northumberland High School and I could not be more excited to share her session with y’all today!! We were blessed with a completely gorgeous day for her session and the lighting that afternoon was some of my favorite that I’ve ever shot in!
Oh, I just have some of the best senior clients around!! Ashley’s session is a favorite for sure and I am so excited to be sharing her images today!
Ashley is a senior at Rappahannock High school and she loves the simple things in life like hunting, fishing, and baseball! The funny thing is that you never would have known that from the gorgeous feminine outfits she brought along for her session!!
Yall, my seniors this year have literally killed it at their sessions!! Alexis was one of my #AbbyHudsonSeniors and I could not have enjoyed working with her more!! Her mom and I had been in touch quite a bit leading up to the session but it was my first time meeting Alexis the day of her session! We chose a great location that would accommodate us incorporating her horse into the images and we lucked out so much that day with great weather! It was hot- but still great! When I arrived, Alexis had so many outfit options hanging up on the door of their horse trailer and next to her outfits were so many jewelry options!! I really enjoyed being able to help her piece together outfits that would photograph best!!
So excited to finally be sharing this session with y’all today!! Cameron is one of my #AbbyHudsonSeniors and this girl rocked her session like you would not believe!!
First of all, I cant believe that she’s a senior this year!!! I know people say that a lot, but no seriously, I cant believe it!! I used to hang out at her house with her sister all the time when I was younger (like elementary school young)! Second of all, she brought her dogs to the session as well so you know I was thrilled to be working and have pups around!!
I have had so many amazing 2017 seniors already this summer, but Kaetlyn was my very first one of the 2017 class!!
Let me tell you something about this girl, she is fearless!!! The day of her session was gorgeous, all day long! Then, right before her session, I decided to take a peek at the weather and it was not promising! There were a ton of storms heading our direction! The sun was still shining so we moved forward with the start of her session. We got a few sunny shots to start and then the sun began to disappear. As the sun disappeared, the winds grew!! We tried to work against the winds but finally had to take a mini break because they were just so forceful! If there’s one thing that you ladies will understand, its how poorly a ton of wind works with long hair when you;re trying to take a picture!
I started 2015 with one newborn session scheduled and two weddings. I was a banker. Thats what I did and thats what I was good at. I loved taking pictures but I wasn’t the type of person that could “make a career out of it”. “People like me aren’t photographers.” I thought that I should be grateful for the job that I had and not waste time with silly daydreams. Well friends, I could cry…. Tears of joy. Tears of amazement. Tears of gratefulness. Tears of realizing just how beautifully blessed I am.
Alex is a 2016 senior at Northumberland High School. I have known Alex’s family for years and even knew him when he was a small child! Its hard to believe that he is a senior but I am oh so honored to have taken his senior photos!

Oohhh gracious yall. I have been so looking forward to todays blog post since I shot it back in May!! Shew! Yall just wait ’till you see! 🙂
Becca is a professional model out of Fredericksburg, Virignia. She and I connected through social media one day thought a mutual friend. She later sent me an email admiring my work and mentioning that she’d love to work with me one day. From there, she and I set a date to connect in person for a portrait session. We ended up rescheduling once but that was obviously meant to be because the light that we had during her session was goodness that I would pay to experience at every session!!!
