I'd love to get to know you better!  Feel free to drop me a note anytime!

Halle contacted me a while back about having photos taken of her and her boyfriend, Robbie.  She seemed as sweet and excited as could be in our conversations and that had me beyond excited to work with them!  We planned to do an outdoor sunrise session for the weekend before Christmas.  Well, the weekend before their session was predicted to be sunny with temperatures into the seventies!!

I was able to change their session to this beautiful weekend, but instead of a sunrise session, we would be shooting at noon!!!  If you know anything about the positioning of the sun then you know that it is brightest at noon and can often times be a nightmare of a challenge for a photo session!!  With the December weather that felt like May weather, I decided to squeeze their session in and challenge myself to shooting with this lighting.

That weekend was also Halle’s family Christmas party at The Tides Inn in Irvington, Virginia so we planned to use that location for their session.  I got there early to walk around the property and find the perfect spots to shoot.  Halle and Robbie arrived and I was immediately blow away by how gorgeous these two are together!!  Oh my- insert all of the heart eyes, y’all!!  We started their session and I seriously was swooning the entire time!!

Midway through their session, we welcomed Scout into the shots… Scout is their 6 month old golden doodle!!  He was such a well behaved boy and his golden waves will make you fall in love just by looking at him!!  This day was also The Tides Inn’s Christmas event so there was a horse drawn carriage decorated for the holidays that kept Scout alert and interested!  Oh, and just wait until you see Scout’s little Christmas bow tie!

I waited to share images from this shoot because Halle was surprising her family members with these images as Christmas gifts!!  I am so happy to be sharing them with you now because I could not have been happier with their images!!!  It probably would have been faster to just post the link to their entire gallery because I was having the hardest time narrowing down the best of the best for this blog post!!  Take a look below at my (many) favorites from their session!!
