I am always grateful when I welcome a new wedding couple to our photography family, but I was exceptionally honored to welcome these two! Sarah and Kevin are so special to me and I could not even believe it when they asked me to photograph their wedding.

I had been looking forward to their engagement session for weeks, but of course the day of the session ended up with weird weather. It was the kind of forecast that was maybe going to rain and maybe not but if it did, it would rain right when we were supposed to start shooting and it was just a mess to figure out! I was checking the weather for hours that morning hoping for some sort of definitive answer about what to expect that afternoon.

We ended up moving our shoot to earlier in the day – which I never do but this session paired with our schedules really needed to happen that day – and much to my surprise we had SUNSHINE for the first half of their session and not a single rain drop fell until we were in our cars leaving! It was such a blessing!

I loved getting to work with Sarah and Kevin in a completely different capacity than ever before. I knew Sarah and her sisters from high school. I knew Kevin as a young, successful business owner that had always encouraged me to run with my own business. But! This day I got to spend time with them as a couple and got to take a peek into their relationship together. They are so sweet together and just such a natural fit. It was a great afternoon and I loved that their pup was able to join us!
